Pictures

Kurt and I got family pictures done this year if that is what you call us haha to me they kind of look like another round of engagements. Anyway I love most of them minus two or three. Kurt only likes one cause he thinks he looks fat in all of them. WHATEVER. I think he looks great. Overall i'm pleased with them! The girl that did them has family here in Cedar she comes here quite often and so we did most of them here on SUU's campus. I know I only post once in a blue moon and a major part of that is we don't have a camera. So for Christmas we are getting a camera and that will be so nice to be able to actually take pictures. Another reason is that we didn't have internet, but we do now, yay, so with a new camera and internet you'll be hearing a lot more from Kurt and I.
These first two aren't favorites but I payed for them so you get to look at em :)

This one is my mom's favorite in case you were wondering which one was her favorite

I'll Never Forget You Patricia Rogers

Patricia Rogers
December 13, 1988-September 21, 2009
(I stole this picture from her Facebook I hope she doesn't mind)

So this post is dedicated to my good friend Patricia Rogers. She passed away on September 21, 2009 at the age of 20.Patricia was in a car accident in Nephi Canyon. She was in a head on collision and her head injuries were too bad to bring her back. Patricia and I grew up dancing together. I first met her when I moved to Manti and we were in Mrs. Rasmusson's fourth grade class together. Later that year I joined a dance group directed by Kathleen Pili and there was a bunch of Manti girls that would carpool together me, Kayla Barclay, Tricia Rogers, Felicity Miller, Aubrey Tibbs, Christine Cox, Hannah Dettinger and Bekah Armstrong. We had so much fun all those years dancing together. Tricia and I were on the Manti drill team together with a bunch of those other girls we danced with when we were younger. Our Senior year we had nine seniors that danced all four years of high school together needless to say we were all really close. Then when we graduated Patricia and I were the only two that went on to dance for the Badgerettes together at Snow College. She was beautiful dancer and good friend. I don't ever remember her ever being mean to anyone. She will forever be in my heart and I will never forget her and the influence she has had on me and many others. She will be missed greatly by all her family and friends but I know she is in heaven with her sister Amberlee who passed away four or five years ago with the same head injuries. Heavenly Father has major work for those two to do and they will have so much fun catching up. Her funeral was beautiful and the nine seniors and a couple of her good friends sang a song called "Daughter of a King". It was one the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Here are the words to the song that we sang. Well we couldn't really sing through our tears but we did our best.

Daughter of a King

Words and Music by Jenny Phillips and Tyler Castleton

Do you wonder if He knows who you are?

Do you wonder if He knows the secret pleadings of your heart

He has numbered every sand of the sea

And he longs for you to know that He believes in you

Can you feel a quiet power from above?

Can you feel His strength surround you when your own is not enough?

He has blessed you with his spirit from on high

And He longs for you to know it lives inside of you

Oh, be true –

Daughter of a king,

the Father’s royalty

heir to His divinity

He’s calling your name

to come and take your place before His throne

He has always known

what he created you to be

A daughter of a king

You hold the promises of all eternity

Rise to claim the noble birthright you were sent here to receive

He has loved you since you lived with Him before

Let Him lead you to the gifts He has in store for you

Oh, be true –

Daughter of a king,

the Father’s royalty

heir to His divinity

He’s calling your name

to come and take your place before His throne

He has always known

what he created you to be

Father’s royalty

heirs to His divinity

He’s calling our names

to come and take our place before His throne

He has always known

what He created us to be

Daughters of a king

Update on us!

Kurt and I don't have the internet so its really hard for me to keep my posts up to date! So I'm just really sorry about that and hopefully we will get it in the near future. This summer has been a crazy one. Kurt is working for the forest service and has been on a fire for the past two weeks and I've been a big baby about it! I miss him so dang much! When he isn't on a fire he is living in Beaver during the week and then coming home to Cedar on his weekend which is Sunday and Monday so I've seen Kurt a handful of times in the past two and a half months. This is very hard for me but I'm very grateful that he has a well paying job and that he is having a good time. As for me, my days consist of working, going to the lake with some Wingers friends, hanging out with Kevin, Robyn and Kassidy, who are leaving me in a week :( occasional trips to manti, and lounging in my apartment counting the days til I get to see Kurtie again.Pretty stinkin LAZY I know. I sound like a big whiner and i'm sorry for my sob story I promise i'm really trying to come to terms with the fact that it's not going to change. It really is a great blessing because it's forced me to make some friends and he making good money for the school year. Which brings up a new change that will be occuring on our lives. Kurt decided to change his major to Engineering and SUU doesn't have an enginerring program so we will be transferring in the next year to a new school. We don't know where yet but the possible schools are Utah State (forever away from everything and everyone) U of U or BYU and i'm gonna maybe say UVU haha so all the schools up north pretty much. It's exciting to think about for me. That is story with this Marchant clan and hopefully i'll get some Florida pictures up in the near future!
That's my manly fire fighter! I guess Kevin called him the gay Indian. Gotta love his cute smile!

One Year Already!

I cannot believe Kurt and I have already been married one year. Our anniversary was May 2nd and this last year has gone by so fast! But it has been so awesome to be married to such a wonderful guy. For our anniversary I made some reservations in Vegas for a couple of days. I had to make the reservations because if it was up to Kurt we would have just stayed home and went out to eat Dairy Queen or something!!So we headed down to Vegas Saturday evening of course when we get there I realize that I forgot the camera! So I'm really sorry. We stayed at the Excaliber. We walked the strip Saturday night, which was pretty scary, I was ok if I didn't look at the ground and see all the naked girls on the cards scattered everywhere. We at at Outback Steakhouse there on the strip and just loved that we didn't have to go back to school on Monday. Sunday we layed by the pool all day which was so nice rode the New York New York rollarcoaster and went The Bodies Exhibit.

I know this picture is a little gross but they are real bodies. This was an entire exhibit of our inards and how they work. Real body parts. It was kinda gross but cool at the same time. There was one section where you could see every stage of a baby and how they develop. REAL BABIES! Kinda sad too huh. Kurt loved every second of that and is still talking about it. It was so much fun to get away and spend time with my wonderful hubby.

I LOVE YOU KURTIE!

This last weekend was mine and Kurt's Birthday. His was on Friday the 20 and mine is today the 22. We decided to go to St. George and hang out with friends and family in the 80 degree weather. It was such nice weather and I loved it. Friday, my sister Ashley had a softball tournament so we went watched her with my family while Kurt, his brothers Kent and Kevin, and my little brother Taylor went fishing in the little ponds. They could only handle so much softball. They had a blast catching their little fishies with just some fishing line, bait and their own to hands! We ate at Red Robin that night and had so much fun ending with a song and a dance from my little sister, entertaining the entire restraunt. Saturday we went to Sand Hollow just to play on the beach and put our feet in the water and eat some lunch. It was such nice weather until the wind started blowing and we had sand in every crevis of our body. We watched a little more softball and did some shopping. After we went to eat with Kurt's high school friend Luke and his wife Janae and their little girl chalin. We went to Texas Roadhouse and they made us sit on those saddle things while everyone said Yee Haw. SO EMBARRASSING!!!! After we went back to Janae's sister's house to watch Twilight. It was such a good birthday and Kurt had so much fun too.

This was Kurt's Birthday breakfast! Us on the saddle together! haha so embarrassing!

Valentines Day

I know i'm a little late but I just wanted to let you all know how cute Kurt is! For Valentines Day we decided to save money this year and so we didn't get each other anything but a card or something. We wouldn't've been able to do anything on Saturday because we were going out of town so Friday while I was at work he snuck a dozen roses and a big box of chocloates in my car with the cutest card. Then when I got home from work he had cleaned the whole house and was doing the laundry. He didn't need to spend a lot of money to make Valentines Day special for me and it seems like it was more special because he did it all from the heart and did something for me to lighten my load. He is so wonderful and I love him so much! I don't know how I got so lucky!

Well I can admit that i'm terrible at blogging and im pretty sure its not that big of a deal cuz I think like a total of three(if that) people look at my blog and I usually talk to those people everyday! But i'm bored so I decided to write something. Kurt and I are doing faboulous. He doesn't really have a job right now because construction is so slow but we are getting by. I swear heavenly father is putting money in our account. It's just so amazing how things work out. I'm still working at Wingers and doing pretty good there. I like waitressing but I wouldn't want to do it for the rest of my life. We are still in the nursery for our ward and we're having so much fun with that! We can't really give the kids a lesson because they don't really know what's going on they and can barely talk. But we are trying. The other day we tried to teach them to fold their arms and that lasted about two seconds before they were off fighting over the toys. We are in the Student married ward and we have like four kids in there and they are barley 1 yr old. It makes me realize how smart Kassidy(our neice) really is she knows Jesus and is saying prayers and everything and she is only a year and a half. I wanted to give a shout out to Mel and Kent on the baby coming soon! I'm so excited for them and i'm sure the baby will be beautiful and healthy and I pray everything goes well! But it makes me sad that we might not see them very much if they move to Kentucky. Now I keep bugging Robyn to get pregnant. Its time Robyn. Trust me I know haha. Well I hope everything is going good in everyones lives and even though I don't post that much and put up pictures I still look at everyone elses and see how they are doing. I know this was pretty much a pointless post but hey at least I posted right. :D

P.s Kurt and I will be married 9 months in February man does time fly. We are having a blast!
